Product Overview
UltraBac Software has designed its backup and disaster recovery
software to take full advantage of being a native Windows application. This
translates
to being highly compact due to very efficient code that eliminates the bloat
found in most other products. A full download is around 12MB as opposed to
more than 600MB for our primary competitors.
The thing that really sets UltraBac Software apart from the bigger brands
is our dedication to backup and disaster recovery. It is our only business.
We understand the importance of your data, and know that unnecessary
downtime not only costs money, but in the worst-case scenario can drive
a company out of business.
Assisting customers with their data protection is our priority -- compare
our technical support with what you've
got now!
File-By-File Backup
UltraBac represents the knowledge and experience of having been in
the backup and disaster recovery software business for over 15 years.
File-by-file backup
is the basic standard for data protection, but there is nothing basic about
UltraBac. The backup wizard in UltraBac provides a step-by-step process
that makes it easy
for the user to create backup sets from start to finish. An installer function
enables an administrator to automate the installation of 10 machines in approximately
three minutes from a remote console (does not require licensing).
System administrators are provided a rich feature set with all the tools
necessary to successfully manage UltraBac; everything from active cluster
server backup, email alerts, hardware failover functionality, to built-in
encryption. UltraBac has many additional options and agents like SQL,
Exchange, Oracle, Autoloader and Locked File Backup so that users can
customize their solution to their exact requirements. More... |

Disaster Recovery
UBDR Pro is the latest advance in Windows disaster recovery. Many disaster
recovery products use image or snapshot technology, but can they perform a
bare metal restore in the event of an unrecoverable machine? UBDR Pro can,
in as little as 15 minutes.
 |
To recover a dead server, a user need only insert the universal
UBDR Pro CD, boot the machine and start the wizard to initiate a
restore of a snapshot (image backup) with just a few clicks of the
mouse. No advance setup is required. After restoring a snapshot,
a machine is recovered 100 percent to its last backup state after
a quick reboot. UBDR Pro also offers built-in encryption so users
can fully comply with security requirements for backup media stored
either on or off-site. More...

UBDR Gold provides customers the same great features as UBDR Pro, along with
the ability to cold boot a machine and either perform image or file based
backups to literally every type of storage device: SAN, NAS, UNC path, local
disk, TSM, FTP, local/remote tape devices, and autoloaders. UBDR Gold differs
significantly from Pro by not only providing optional agents for TSM, FTP,
and autoloaders, but by giving users the ability to perform either image or
file based backup and restore operations while booted from the UBDR Gold CD.
This means an administrator can boot a failed machine and safely back up specific
files or entire data partitions to any available disk, tape, or network location.

UBDR Pro and Gold use UltraBac's ability to perform image backups, along
with a Windows based universal boot CD environment, to restore one or more
disk partitions even when no operating system is available. These disaster
recovery products can be licensed for independent, stand-alone use, or it
can be fully integrated with UltraBac's regular file-by-file backup and restore
software.
