Supplementing your regular backup routine with scheduled disaster recovery backups via the VaultDR APM ensures that your data will be available quickly in the event of a catastrophic failure. The VaultDR APM provides the capability to create a block-by-block disaster recovery image of NetVault clients. There is no need to complicate your backup strategy with multiple products; NetVaults VaultDR APM is an integrated solution capable of recovering the entire disk including the OS, applications, system settings, partition information, and data. The VaultDR APM is easy to use. All operations can be managed from the central NetVault server. During the regularly scheduled period, an administrator will take the necessary client machine offline and boot it with VaultOS - NetVaults disaster recovery operating system. From the NetVault server, the administrator selects the disk and partition(s) to be backed up and creates the VaultDR image. In the event of a catastrophe or disk failure, administrators need only to boot the affected machine with VaultOS; it contains the necessary drivers required to re-establish network communication, and then recover the VaultDR image over the network. Simply restore the last full, incremental, or differential backup using NetVault and quickly and easily, youre back online and ready to do business.
