The Microsoft SQL Server Application Plugin Module (APM) provides increased application availability via fast, online backup of SQL databases in Windows NT environments. The APM includes a wide variety of important features such as hot backup, a variety of backup operations and advanced logging capabilities.

Hot Backup: With NetVault’s Microsoft SQL Server APM, user databases remain online and fully accessible during backup operations, assuring zero downtime for users.

Selectable Database Backup Operations: Backup only what is needed with the NetVault Microsoft SQL Server APM. An easy to use, point and click SQL-specific user interface, provides precise tuning of the backup and restore sets down to specific tables (requires SQL 6.5).

Multiple Backup Modes: The Microsoft SQL Server APM supports full, differential and transaction log backups.

Captures SQL Messages: NetVault intercepts Microsoft SQL Server messages related to the current job and sends a copy to the NetVault log so they can be displayed with other NetVault job messages.
